Forge The Man Retreat – Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.s)

A Brotherhood. A Rite of Passage. A Reckoning with the Man You Were Born to Be.

1. What exactly is the Forge the Man Retreat?

Forge the Man is a full-immersion masculine initiation — a blend of physical challenge, emotional honesty, spiritual grounding, and brotherhood.
This isn’t a weekend to “escape your life.” It’s a weekend to face it.
You will train, sweat, breathe, meditate, journal, confront your shadows, speak your truth, and rise with a tribe of men who refuse to settle for mediocrity.

It’s not therapy.
It’s not a church retreat.
It’s not a vacation.

It’s a furnace.
And inside that furnace, you forge the man you were always meant to be.

2. Am I fit enough to do this?

If you’re asking, the answer is already yes.
This retreat is not about being the fastest, strongest, or most conditioned.
It’s about meeting your edge — and most men have never even touched theirs.

You do not need to be an athlete. You do not need a six-pack.
You just need the courage to show up and not fucking quit.

3. What if I’m older, out of shape, or have an injury?

Good.
Then you have even more reason to be here.

We scale physical challenges to your ability, not your excuses.
If you can walk, breathe, and commit — you can complete this retreat.
This experience is designed for men ages 18 to 95, and many who attend haven’t trained in years.

We honor your body while still demanding your full presence.
You will be pushed — but never past what’s safe or wise.

4. What is included in the retreat cost?

Your registration includes:

  • All lodging for the full weekend
  • All meals — primal, clean, high-protein, cooked on fire
  • All physical training sessions
  • All emotional and spiritual workshops
  • Meditation, journaling, breathwork sessions
  • Guided challenges, group work, and personal coaching
  • A curated container of brotherhood that most men have never experienced
  • Retreat materials, workbook, and integration guidance

Nothing hidden. Nothing upsold.

5. Where is the retreat located?

In the wilderness — where men belong.
Far from the noise, the screens, and the softening of modern life.

You’ll receive the exact location and arrival instructions upon registration.
Plan for rugged desert terrain, pine forests, or mountain air depending on the season.
You will be off the grid enough to hear your soul again.

6. What should I bring?

A full packing list is sent at registration, but expect to bring:

  • Athletic clothing
  • Warm layers
  • Boots or trail shoes
  • Journal + pen
  • Water bottle
  • Toiletries
  • A willingness to burn the bullshit you’ve been carrying for years

You don’t need fancy gear.
You need your presence, your integrity, and your courage.

7. Will I have cell phone access?

No.
The world can live without you for 48 hours.
You are unplugging to reconnect with something far more important:
yourself.

Phones are collected and sealed away until the retreat ends.

8. Is this a religious retreat?

No dogma. No doctrine. No preaching.
Forge the Man is spiritually grounded — not religious.

We explore presence, breath, meditation, embodiment, and masculine polarity.
We honor the deeper intelligence inside every man.
You bring your own beliefs — and your own honesty.

9. Will there be physical challenges? How intense are they?

Yes.
The masculine grows through resistance, not comfort.

Expect:

  • Pushups
  • Sit-ups
  • Log carries
  • Cold exposure
  • Team-based challenges
  • Breathwork under pressure
  • Movement drills
  • Ground work and primal flow
  • Fire-based rituals
  • Hiking or outdoor endurance tasks
  • Basic hand to hand combat training

This is not BUD/S.
But it is a place where men find out what they’re made of.

10. Will I be safe?

Yes.
All physical activities are supervised and structured.
You will be challenged — not punished.
You will be pushed — not broken.

Your facilitators are trained professionals, and the retreat includes safety protocols for all events.

11. What if I get emotional or triggered?

Then welcome to the work.
Every man hits a moment where the armor cracks — that’s where the gold is.

In this brotherhood, vulnerability is not weakness.
It’s the doorway to power.
You will be held, supported, witnessed, and strengthened… not judged.

Most men walk away saying:
“I didn’t know I needed that. I didn’t know how good it feels to finally speak truth.”

12. What if I’m uncomfortable being vulnerable in front of other men?

Perfect.
That means this retreat is exactly for you.

Most men have never been in a room where it’s safe to be authentic.
Forge the Man builds that container — intentionally, powerfully, and with discipline.

You will not be forced to share anything.
But you will be invited to show up as the real man beneath the masks.

13. How many men will be there?

Retreats are intentionally capped — usually 12 to 20 men.

This ensures:

  • Deep connection
  • Real accountability
  • No one gets lost
  • Every man is seen, heard, and challenged

This is not a mega-seminar.
It’s a tribe.

14. What kind of food will be provided?

Fuel for warriors.
Expect whole foods, grilled meats, vegetables, clean carbs, and primal nourishment cooked over flame.

No processed bullshit.
No sugar bombs.
Your body will thank you.

15. What does a typical day look like?

A blend of:

  • Early morning primal movement
  • Breathwork + meditation
  • Group coaching + workshops
  • Physical challenges
  • Fire rituals
  • Meals together
  • Brotherhood councils
  • Silent introspection
  • Night work
  • Integration journaling

The schedule is deliberately structured AND intentionally unpredictable — because life is both.

16. Can I come with a friend?

Absolutely.
Men often attend with a brother, coworker, or family member.
Many come alone.

Either way — you will not be alone once you arrive.

17. What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Because space is extremely limited, all sales are final.
However, you may transfer your spot to another man if you can no longer attend.

Commitment is masculine.
Half-in, half-out energy kills transformation.

18. Is this retreat only for “broken” men?

No.
This is for men who are awake enough to know they want more.
Men who are sick of drifting.
Men who are tired of living below their potential.
Men who know the fire inside them has gone dim — and they want it back.

You don’t need to be broken.
You just need to be done with your own bullshit.

19. What makes this retreat different from other men’s retreats?

Forge the Man fuses:

🔥 Savage physical challenge
🔥 Deep emotional excavation
🔥 Spiritual grounding and masculine polarity work
🔥 Rite-of-passage intensity without toxicity
🔥 Brotherhood that feels ancient and real
🔥 Leadership training and masculine embodiment

Most retreats are soft.
Most retreats avoid the real work.
Most retreats talk about masculinity instead of initiating it.

This one is different.
You won’t leave the same man.

20. How do I know if this retreat is right for me?

If something inside you is whispering, tugging, or roaring that you’re meant for more — then this is for you.

If you feel stuck, numb, stagnant, lost, unfocused, disconnected…
This is for you.

If you crave brotherhood, challenge, clarity, purpose, or fire…
This is for you.

And if you’re still unsure — trust this:
The man you are becoming already knows the answer.

21. What are the exact dates and times of this retreat?

The schedule in every detail is only for your coaching cadre to know. However, It starts promptly at 1500hrs March 20th, 2026. It ends approximately at 1700hrs March 22nd.

Don’t be late. This retreat starts with or without you on time. Detailed instructions will be emailed to you on how to physically show up for the start and what to wear. We expect you present, accounted for, gear stowed, and ready to go at least 20 minutes prior to 1500hrs.

22. Are there airport transfers available to those of us flying in from out of town? Where do we fly into?

No. You will be responsible for your own travel arrangements to and from the retreat. We recommend using a rental car agency or even an Uber. However, the rental car will likely be the best option to ensure you have a ride back to the airport after the retreat as we will be in a remote location with little to no access to cell service or Uber.

The closest airport to fly into will either be Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, or Phoenix/Mesa Gateway airport. Both have rental cars. Sky Harbor is much larger and has much more options for flight times.

Count on at least 2hrs of travel time from the airport to the retreat location. Plan accordingly when booking your flights.
